Špilberk Castle

The old castle which dominates the city was founded in the 13th century and has been reconstructed several times. Brněnská přehrada (Brno reservoir)

 Brno reservoir is a popular recreation area for both locals and visitors. Both sides lead to vast forests and offers not only for swimming and water sports, but also hiking and cycling. Do not forget the scenic boat trips especially popular during summer. On the Bystrc section of the reservoir there are regular major international firework competitions and shows. Veveří Castle

Veveří Castle is a popular destination for day-trippers, which rises on a cliff near Brno over the reservoir. The castle has a bridge which goes over the reservoir for pedestrians and cyclists. Veveří Castle is one of the largest and oldest castle complexes not only in Moravia but also in the Czech Republic.
